Arnold Obomanu leads the Subsurface & Wells Workflow team in Shell Nigeria with over 20 years of E&P industry experience. He is primarily responsible for the speedy deployment and embedding of exciting technologies and projects across the Shell Nigeria subsurface business. He focuses on preventing value eroding issues, thereby reducing NPTs for subsurface professionals, speeding up agreed deliverables and reducing UDC. Previously, he led the Development Technical Data Management team in SPDC, responsible for ensuring Petroleum Engineers have "trusted data at their fingertips", with great outcomes.
These roles require extensive stakeholder management, service delivery, significant change management, contract management and project management skills. Arnold holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MSc in Enterprise Systems from the University of Brighton and is certified in Systems Thinking. He has written a book to address corruption issues in Nigeria with some great reviews on Amazon: "The Survival Mindset: A Systematic Approach to Combating Corruption in Nigeria”. Arnold is a Project Management Professional, an avid reader and is happily married with 3 kids.
