Erasmus Nnanna

Erasmus is a Well Performance expert and a Shell Group Certified Production Technology Technical Authority. A thorough-bred Petroleum Engineer with 20 years of local and international experience in petroleum engineering mainly in Production Technology, holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Petroleum Engineering. Erasmus has been working for Shell in the last 15 years where he has delivered remarkable business results in well delivery, well, reservoir & facilities management (WRFM), subsurface studies, and project delivery. Within 3 years, Erasmus led the transformation of one of SPDC's onshore assets by delivering outstanding production performance results leading to multiple global recognitions and awards.

Erasmus is a Subject Matter Specialist in advanced completions having designed and executed well completions involving interval control devices (ICDs) and intelligent completions (with ICVs)-smart wells. One of his career highlights includes the successful delivery of the first intelligent well in Shell Nigeria. Before joining Shell as a Production Technologist, he worked as a production engineer, coiled tubing field engineer, petroleum engineer, and reservoir engineer across the service, consultancy, and E&P sectors of Nigeria's oil and gas industry. Erasmus has a passion for coaching Petroleum Engineering fundamentals and mentoring Young Professionals. He volunteers for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) where he has won several technical and leadership awards and has authored/co-authored 16 SPE papers.
