Jenifer Avellaneda obtained her degree in 2018 as a B.S. Sustainable Development Engineer from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe. In that same year, Jenifer participated as a trainee at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria, in the area of Technical Cooperation Programme for Latin America and Caribbean countries.


She worked together with Project Management Officers and diplomats in the development of national and international projects.


In 2020, Jenifer moved back to the U.S.A where she currently works as a Nuclear Engineer in the Risk Analysis Department at Westinghouse Electric Company, at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Texas where she’s involved in performing engineering evaluations related to risk for nuclear power plants (PRA), modeling of internal and external events, including fire and safe shutdown modes of operation, utilizing models to provide nuclear power plant operators the necessary insight to make operational, financial and regulatory decisions and interfacing with international customers, vendors and internal groups on engineering and commercial levels.
